Frequently asked questions

Which spice prices does TaazaBhav track?

21 spice crops: Ajwain, Bay Leaf (Tejpatta), Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon (Dalchini), Cloves, Coriander Seed (Dhaniya), Cumin (Jeera), Dry Red Chilli, Dry Ginger (Sonth), Mace, Methi Seeds (Fenugreek), Kalonji (Nigella), Nutmeg, Poppy Seeds (Khaskhas), Saffron, Fennel (Saunf), Dill Seed (Suva), Tamarind (Imli), Turmeric and Raw Turmeric. Each has its own page with the price in every reporting mandi.

Which spice crops have a government MSP?

None. MSP covers about two dozen cereals, pulses, oilseeds and cash crops; spice prices are set only by mandi demand and supply.

Where do these spice prices come from?

From the Government of India's Agmarknet data on data.gov.in, reported by APMC mandis and checked by TaazaBhav three times a day. Each crop page shows the exact price date.

How do I see the price in my mandi?

Open the crop, then search for your mandi or pick your state in the table. You can switch between ₹ per quintal and ₹ per kg.
