How many hours do I have to report crop loss for Fasal Bima (PMFBY)?

Which crop damage gets a claim for my own farm?
Hailstorm, waterlogging (inundation), cloudburst, landslide and fire from lightning are covered farm by farm. So is rain, hail or cyclone on a crop left cut and spread in the field, up to 14 days after harvest. From Kharif 2026, wild animal damage is also covered in districts the state has notified.
Is drought or pest damage claimed farm by farm?
Usually not. Drought, pests, disease and widespread rain are assessed for the whole area through crop-cutting tests. Still tell your agriculture office and bank in writing and keep a record.
What documents do I need for a crop insurance claim?
Policy or application number, the docket number from your report, Aadhaar, bank passbook, land record (khasra/khatauni/B1) or tenancy paper, and dated photos of the damage. Keep some damaged plants until the survey is done.
Is the TaazaBhav damage record an official document?
